Amusement Park Tripsdrill

The “Höhenflug” rollercoaster in the amusement park Tripsdrill tells the story of Albrecht Ludwig Berblinger, a tailor from Ulm. In 1811, he had a creative soaring and developed an aircraft, with which he unfortunately crashed into the Danube. In Tripsdrill, Berblinger’s dream of flying becomes reality.

The fall into the cool Danube was picked up by an attention-grabbing installation, in which the visitor is suggested in the course of his soaring that he is flying towards water fountains and inevitably gets wet. But at the last second the fountains descend and the passenger just runs his feet over them.

In cooperation with Gerstlauer Amusement Rides, the Manufacturer of the attraction (working name SKY FLY), the specialists from AQUA IN MOTION developed and installed a fountain system with 12 Cluster ECO nozzles, which can be adjusted in height with frequency converters. The control of the fountains was implemented into the rollercoaster’s SPS-Controller to achieve exact synchronicity. During the flight breaks, the fountains do a small animation.
